Creating a Lego block

This is my 3D modeling of the Lego block

This is my first time using Fusion 360, so it is challenging for me to become familiar with the functions of the buttons in Fusion. So, I spent a long time learning to use this app. Then I began to model the body part(the cuboid), which is really easy at this time, since I just need to draw a rectangle on the x,y plane and then stretch it to 3 dimensions. Next, I began to build the circles on the top of the body part. When doing this process, I found some problems designing the distance between every cylinder. I tried a few times and finally made it look suitable. Also, when I built the three cylinders under the surface of the body part, I still needed to do some research on how to make a hole and how to make the cylinder in the middle of the rectangle. But, after some research, I found that I made a big progress in using this app, and I got familiar with many things in Fusion while working. So, I spend much less time building the three cylinders under the surface of the body part than building the top eight cylinders. Finally, when I chose the color and texture of the lego block, I made a compromise: at the begining I struggled in finding a close texture of the block in order to make it appears more real. However, I cannot find it, so I just paint a red color.

In the humanities, 3D modeling is not only a tool but a core medium for driving changes in research, teaching, and public participation. It turns the abstract definitions into visualization projects. In education, it breaks through the limitations of time and space, offering immersive experiences for students, which promotes students’ interesting and also helps students understand better.

The tip for new learners is that it is important to know the main tools of Fusion before starting modeling. When starting the approach to this app, it’s really confusing and chaotic, but do not be afraid. What I want to learn soon is how to use curves to model and how to change the texture of the project.
