- What are your shared values? Shared goals?
We want to share and explore Carleton’s archive of art and information. Much of Carleton’s archive is hidden from most students and is not easy to access, and we want to share the information with other students. We have shared goals of exploring and sharing Carleton’s collections of art and information. We similarly share values of teamwork and collaboration, and will make an effort to each contribute equal parts to our final project.
- What will you expect from each other?
We will all dedicate a similar amount of time to the project, will each scan an equal number of documents, and will communicate with each other. Since we have six people in our group, we have enough resources to dedicate to each part of the project’s processes. We just expect everyone to communicate and be patient with each other throughout the process.
- How will you communicate?
We have a group chat that we have been actively using to communicate about deadlines. We will continue to use the group chat to communicate the details of our project, upcoming deadlines, and all things related to the project. We will also actively communicate during class sessions to ensure everyone is contributing to the assignment. Furthermore, we will meet outside of class to make sure we figure everything out.
- How will your team handle disagreement?
We will handle disagreement by listening to each group member’s opinions. If we can not come to a unanimous decision, we will come to a compromise that represents the majority of the group’s ideas.
- How will you divide responsibilities? Is someone responsible for calling meetings? Cleaning data? Assess and share your own strengths and weaknesses.
Currently, Max has been in contact with David Bliss from the Carleton archives and is working on scheduling a meeting with him. Once that meeting is scheduled, Rafa and Max will choose which items we will be scanning. Rafa will continue to submit our group assignments through the class website. Gabriel, Matt, and Dylan took the lead on writing the team charter, with input and feedback from all group members. Matt will be responsible for calling group meetings. Dylan, Gabriel, and Matt will take pictures of the objects and complete 3D scans. Rafa and Gabriel are most comfortable with the digital aspects of our project, so they will do more in the realm of the actual scanning and processing of the objects. Matt, Max, and Dylan will focus more on the humanities aspects, working more on the story involved with the objects.
